ADOPTED!

Meet Stanley! He is a handsome AKC registered male yellow Labrador who is six-years-old. Stanley came to WCLRR after his owner became ill and could no longer care for him. Stanley is medium energy and a powerful boy.

Stanley is friendly with other dogs and is currently fostered with two Labradors, who he cuddles. Stanley loves to play fetch and will drop the ball at your feet. He has a friendly personality and loves the companionship of his people. After a play session, Stanley likes to cuddle up next to his person on the couch or lay under the desk while they work.

Stanley mastered the dog door at his foster home needs reinforcement of house training. A home with a dog door would be best as Stanley has become used to going out whenever he needs to potty and has had no accidents in his foster home. Stanley needs room to play ball, so a house with a medium to the large secure yard would be a good fit. With his size, an apartment will not be ideal for him. His family should invest in a Chuck-It, as games of fetch will keep Stanley is good condition and good times for his family.

Stanley walks fair on a leash and likes his walks around the neighborhood, but could use some brush-up leash training since he is a big, strong boy. He is learning basic commands and is smart. He should be easy to train with treats. His new family should invest some time initially in basic training. Due to his size, he would not be appropriate for younger children. Stanley rides calmly in the car and loves to go on outings!

Stanley can get a little spooked by loud noises and isn’t fond of fireworks but is easily comforted by his people. He is a loving, sweet boy who enjoys being with people and other dogs.

Stanley was recently neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
