Meet Scout, a darling, chocolate, purebred Lab puppy approx 9-12 months young. He is puppy playful and happy, yet calm and quiet.

Scout is an excellent fit for a hiker or runner. He is an American or field style Labrador. Scout is a happy, sweet guy looking for a family who will show him love and training, which he never received.

Scout loves his long hikes at foster in Malibu. He does well on and off-leash, packing in, staying close, and coming to whistle. He rides nicely in the car and would love to be your errand partner. He needs lots of exercise, either running or hiking with you daily. Scout is great with cats and chickens. He gets on well with four other Labs at his foster home and will do well with a canine friend, but all he wants is love and attention from his family. He is learning to retrieve with his Lab pals and loves to play in the water.

Dogs his age chew, and in the absence of exercise and the right toys (lots of them) and bully sticks, they will find other things to chew, but Scout doesn’t chew or collect items for chewing. Puppy proof your home: No food, gum, or medications within reach as these could be deadly to a dog. All trash must be in a latched closed cabinet or a dog proof trash can, and counters clear, this includes coffee tables with items such as remotes, eyeglasses, and cell phones.

He’s learning not to jump up (he wants to be close to you) and is easy to correct. He needs more house training, is learning, and responds to positive encouragement. He wants to please.

Scout is up to date on his shots, neutered and microchipped, he is very healthy and ready for his forever home.
