Meet Boomer! He is a three-year-old male chocolate Labrador Retriever with beautiful eyes that will melt your heart! Boomer surrendered to WCLRR when his family had to move and couldn’t take him with them.

Boomer likes everyone, and his foster describes him as an “amazing” dog! Boomer lives with chickens, tortoises, and five other Labrador Retrievers, and they all get along just fine! Boomer always wants a toy in his mouth, and he loves chasing balls or a good tug of war session. However, although Boomer loves to play, he settles right down when it’s time to relax.

Boomer loves to walk and is generally good on the leash, although he does pull on the leash a bit. Some training might help reduce the pulling.

Boomer knows sit, stay, and shake. He is house trained and hasn’t had an accident at his foster home. He is not a fan of crates, though, preferring to sleep on a dog bed in his foster’s bedroom. He sleeps quietly through the night, waiting for his people to get up in the morning.

Boomer’s ideal home would be with anyone that will give him the love and attention he deserves. He would be well-suited for a single person, a couple, or a family. He would be fine in a home with other dogs but would also be ok as an only pup. As long as Boomer is with someone that will take him for walks or hikes, play with him, and include him in their activities, Boomer will be happy!

Boomer is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered, and is microchipped.
