ADOPTED!

Meet Truth! He is a handsome 19-month-old male chocolate Labrador Retriever. His family surrendered Truth to WCLRR due to moving, and they could not take him to their new home.

Truth is a fun, active, and energic young boy who would love to have a family that will play fetch and takes him for walks. Truth does well on a leash, but he will become a great walking companion with some practice and more training, maybe becoming a running buddy.

Truth is completely housebroken and crate trained. He goes to his crate, puts himself to bed when he is told, and sleeps all night. Truth has some basic training and knows the commands sit, stay and come. He has excellent recall. He is a quick learner and a very smart boy.

Truth loves playing with toys and balls, but he can be somewhat possessive. He also will guard his food. This behavior is easily corrected; however, his new family needs to work on this behavior right away to ensure that it does not become a resource guarding issue.

Truth is working on taking treats gently; his foster says he is getting better, but his new family needs to work on this as well. Truth also eats fast, and a slow feeder bowl is recommended for him.

Truth loves dogs and is currently fostered with a young female Labrador; we believe Truth would enjoy having another dog in his new home and someone who is dedicated to continuing his training.

Truth is an affectionate boy who loves to give kisses and loves to be petted. He settles beautifully in the house and enjoys chewing on a Nylabone or other toy while his family is relaxing in the home.

We have not to cat-tested Truth; therefore, we cannot place him in a home with a cat. In addition, we cannot place Truth in a house with children under the age of 8.

Truth has been neutered. He is up to date on his vaccines and microchipped.
