ADOPTED!

Meet Bo! He is an adorable and friendly 12-month-old male yellow Labrador Retriever puppy. Bo was surrendered when his family was being relocated and were unable to take him with them. They understood WCLRR would make sure Bo found a perfect “furever” home.

Bo is a healthy, high energy dog and is always looking to play with whoever is around, whether with his foster family or other dogs! Bo’s ideal situation is an active household with someone present most of the time.

Bo will do best with adults and children over eight years old due to his strength, as he will jump when greeting people. Having another friendly dog and a yard to run around in would be a nice bonus to help him burn off energy.

Bo is housebroken and sleeps throughout the night without any accidents. He sleeps on a dog bed in his foster parents’ room. Bo is working on his house manners; his new family will need to make sure that things are picked up around the house and the yard.

Bo tends to chew and pick-up items that are not safe. Bo’s new home must invest in good quality, strong appropriate dog toys, and chews, such as Kong Extreme’s and Nylabone’s.

Bo’s new home needs to be “puppy proof” until he is trained and understands his toys instead of shoes, glasses, and remotes, also making sure that all counters and tables are clear of medicine, vitamins, food, etc. All of these can be deadly to a dog.
Bo pulls on the leash when walking. His foster family has been working with him on leash training, and he’s improved significantly. His new family needs to continue his training. He is eager to learn and is treat motivated, which will make training easier. Bo has shown significant progress in ‘sit,’ ‘down,’ and ‘stay’ in a short time with his fosters and gladly accepts treats in a gentle-manner.
Bo loves car rides, belly rubs, and every dog toy in existence. He loves to play fetch, go on long walks, and would appreciate an active family who can match his energy and excitement for life.

Bo loves to play. He is also happy to relax inside after a long walk – in particular. He loves to cuddle up on the couch. We believe Bo would love to be a running and exercise partner once he is trained.

Bo’s has been neutered, his vaccines are up to date, and he is microchipped.
