ADOPTED!

Meet Milo! He’s an adorable 11-month-old Yellow (Dudley) male Labrador Retriever puppy. He was surrendered to WCLRR when his family realized a puppy wasn’t a good fit for their lifestyle.

Milo is cautious and will do well in a calm environment. He lived with another dog but can be a bit fearful around new dogs, especially high energy ones. Introduction to dogs must be done correctly for success. These meetings must be managed carefully.

Milo does jump, his new family will need to be aware of this, and Milo could knock someone over. We can not place Milo in a home with children under the age of 8. His foster is working with him to learn manners, and his new family will need to continue to work with him to learn to be calm around new people. Although he gets so excited to meet new people, Milo is not a barker. Unlike most labs, Milo is not overly food motivated, although he is partial to hot dogs and cheese and will respond to these treats for training.

Milo loves to play with his toys, and chasing tennis balls is one of his favorite things. He enjoys his walks and is good on the leash, although he can sometimes pull a bit because he’s so excited for the adventure! He is learning that car rides are fun, and he loves to stick his nose out the window to catch all the exciting smells! He is not accustomed to getting in and out of vehicles and does need some help.

Milo is house trained and will stand by the door to let his family know that he needs to go out. He is extremely affectionate and loves to be loved and get belly rubs! Milo’s happy to snuggle on a couch but will try to crawl into your lap first. He is learning this is not ok. Milo sleeps well through the night on a dog bed next to his people’s bed and is ready to get up whenever you are!

Milo loves to be with people and can become anxious when left alone. He would do best in a home where at least one person will be home most of the time. Milo would also be happy to accompany you on errands in the car.

Milo is neutered, current on his vaccines, and microchipped.
