ADOPTED!

Meet Benson! He is very handsome (approximately) 4 years old. Benson was rescued from a High Desert high kill shelter, where he was listed as a stray, his family never came for him. WCLRR pulled him from the shelter the day he was available and got him to safety.

Benson has a sweet disposition and enjoys being around people. He is known to plop himself on the floor in the kitchen where you’re working. He doesn’t counter surf and stays back a respectable distance when you’re eating.

Benson sleeps all night, either by the bed or sneaks out to the couch. He loves to fetch his tennis ball. He also appears to like water, taking a dip in the fosters waterfall. By far, soft squeaky toys are Benson’s favorite.

He doesn’t guard his food or toys and gets along well with a pug ( who, of course, is the alpha). He does very well with children (9 1/2-year-old girl who love on him daily). Benson also enjoys being brushed and groomed.

Benson likes to take walks in the neighborhood. He tends to pull initially then settles down. He will pull when he sees other dogs, so some additional leash training is suggested.

Benson is housebroken and will stand at the door to let you know he needs to go outside. His new family should make sure they get a routine going as any new dog can have an accident in the house as they get to know him.

Benson is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his shots.
